Worth Saving

This photo was taken on one of my lowest days about one month into my sobriety, into my salvation. My habits were changing, but my environment was still the same at that time. It was a moment where I found myself full circle. Willing to change but understanding the full capacity of surrender. This picture was heavy when I took it, but I wanted to capture the emotion for myself. To look back one day and see how far I’d actually go. I found myself a year later… One year sober and starting my self portrait collection. As I was determining what stories of mine to tell through my drawings, this picture was one story I wanted to share; Today I understand why I was worth saving.
